The Hazley Builders team transformed this classic West Chester borough home, restoring its historic charm while revitalizing its main living areas.
The family desired a larger more functional kitchen seamlessly connected to the new deck and mudroom additions. To achieve a sleek, modern layout that integrated with the classic look and feel of the home, the design team chose a palette of white, black, and gold accents, incorporating built-in features such as cabinet-paneled appliances, a dining area banquette, an in-wall oven, and a microwave drawer. To enhance the transitional design, they selected mitered edge white quartz countertops with grey veining.
To expand the outdoor living space, a deck was added off the kitchen, featuring black frame glass doors and windows for an additional natural light source and seamless indoor-outdoor transition. The deck, constructed with Azec materials, includes a modern cable rail system.
Additionally, the team designed a mudroom connected to the kitchen, making the home more accommodating to the daily routines of this family of seven. This addition features built-in storage solutions, a beverage fridge, and an additional black frame glass door leading to the outdoor deck.
