At Hazley Builders, the architect, the designers, and the construction team are all in-house, so the home you imagine on paper is the home we are accountable for delivering in the field. We have designed and built throughout Chester County, the Main Line, and the Brandywine Valley since 1999, and we bring that same local experience to new construction across the region, including Wilmington and northern Delaware.

Our Design Process

Before any construction contract, we develop the design in stages so you can see and shape it. Depending on the project, this can include floor plans, elevations, material and finish selections, and 3D renderings. Each step is calibrated to the complexity and scope of what we're building together, so nothing is left to assumption. When the design is complete, we provide a fixed-price construction proposal with a clear scope, so you know the full cost before work begins.

Planning, Permits, and Timeline

A custom home is a long project, and most of the certainty is won in the planning. We typically spend several months on design, engineering, and permitting before breaking ground. West Chester Borough and each surrounding township have their own zoning ordinances, inspection schedules, and in some areas, historic or conservation review. Our project managers handle every submittal, hearing, and inspection, and keep the build on a published schedule so you always know what is happening and what comes next.
