Flowing Family Retreat

Case Study

On our client’s wish list for this first-floor renovation and addition was an open-concept kitchen and living area that seamlessly flowed into their outdoor space to make entertaining more enjoyable.

To bring their vision to life, Hazley Builders expanded the kitchen’s footprint and added more natural light sources with a large window over the sink and sliding glass doors leading to the outdoor patio area. Central to the transitional design was the white cabinetry adding brightness and neutrality to the kitchen’s look and feel. Natural elements including white oak beams and hardwood floors were incorporated for a warm, neutral contrast. We also incorporated texture into the design with distinctive leather-finish marble countertops and a glossy, apron-front Kohler Ironridge farmhouse sink.

To further enhance the family’s entertaining experience, a wet bar featuring soft gray cabinets, floating shelves, a sink, and a beverage refrigerator were added to the living area. Our clients have loved entertaining family and friends in the new space.
