In Wayne, PA, this addition and renovation came to life from one goal: to create a better flow between spaces in the kitchen area without renovating the existing kitchen. The scope involved creating a natural extension of the space with a great room addition, allowing the spaces to connect more seamlessly with valuable square footage. By extending the home beyond the kitchen’s original footprint, our team created a more connected and functional layout without the need for a full kitchen remodel.
The great room addition opens with dramatic cathedral ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows, creating a bright, expansive gathering space. A built-in entertainment center with inset cabinetry and honey bronze pulls reinforces the home’s refined, cohesive language.
Every selection was chosen to establish a natural visual flow, with hardwood flooring matched to the dining room and a custom dry bar harmoniously designed with the existing cabinetry. Belgium Linen wallpaper in Charcoal, Red Oak shelving, and brass drink rails introduce a sophisticated mix of texture and contrast.
The result is a balanced blend of existing character and new construction to create a natural, uninterrupted flow.
