Downingtown First Floor Renovations

Case Study

White and grey kitchen with large island with cooktop

Transitional Design Kitchen and Bath

Case Study

Inspired by the family’s passion for gardening, this first-floor renovation seamlessly blends the outdoors with indoor living, resulting in a kitchen and living area bursting with natural light. In the kitchen, the design team enhanced both functionality and space by centering the design around a large island. One of the exits to the outdoor deck was replaced with expansive windows, allowing for more lower cabinet space and additional natural light. Extending the counters and cabinetry below the windows provided the family with extra storage. For a sleek, transitional look, the kitchen features white cabinetry and polished Silestone miter edge countertops. The island’s Malibu blue cabinetry, paired with black metal hardware and lighting, offers a striking contrast against the soft white backdrop.

The first-floor ensuite primary bathroom has been transformed from 90s contemporary to a timeless, spa-like retreat. Central to the redesign is a curbless shower with frameless doors, featuring Moen’s Digital Shower System with four sprays for a luxurious daily experience. A striking accent wall with glossy green floor-to-ceiling tiles serves as the focal point, complemented by a custom natural cherry wood vanity. The reconfigured layout also includes a modern, oval-shaped freestanding tub, completing the home’s oasis. Additional design elements, such as natural cherry floating shelves and sleek chrome faucets and handles, enhance the overall elegance of the space.
