Our team led a remarkable transformation for this mid-century modern-inspired kitchen. In this redesign, our objective was to revitalize the colonial look of the home’s first floor to create a fully modernized kitchen space. To bring to life the minimalist aesthetic of mid-century modern design, we selected a combination of white inset upper and lower cabinets with a high-gloss finish and frameless walnut cabinets with metal accents. Additionally, the design team mixed materials into the renovation including wood, metal, and natural stone, and added a high-gloss finish to the white cabinetry.
The minimalist principles were further applied to the design by concealing small appliances within the cabinetry and by flush mounting the kitchen’s main appliances to create sleek, clean lines. Central to the kitchen’s layout, the island features a stunning marble countertop with a Zip Water HydroTap Cube faucet system, providing instant filtered, boiling, chilled, and sparkling water. The island also includes pull-out drawers for storage, seating, and a concealed in-island dishwasher for added functionality. Concrete perimeter countertops were introduced to contrast with the natural materials used, adding an industrial flair. Custom touches include a wet bar and pantry with pocket doors, recessed lighting, and glass shelving. The final design achieved a timeless, yet modern elegance that our clients look forward to enjoying for years to come.
