Our clients aimed to achieve two objectives in this extensive renovation. The first was to transform an unused space into a private guest suite complete with a full bathroom. The second was to create a laundry and mudroom that are both highly functional and visually appealing.
For the guest suite, we expanded a half bath into a full bath by adding a shower to the room’s footprint. We developed a layout that offers areas for both relaxation and sleeping. To bring in natural light, we installed elegant French doors that open to the outdoor space. The room’s aesthetic was enhanced with vertical board and batten paneling, adding texture and detail. For both space-saving and style, we installed sliding reclaimed wood barn doors to conceal the closet space.
This family’s farmhouse-inspired mudroom is a stunning blend of moody blue tones and rich wood accents. The design provides ample laundry folding and sorting space, complemented by extensive cabinet storage. A playful Dutch door adds a charming touch, enhancing the room’s overall appeal. The cabinetry, finished in deep, sophisticated blues, contrasts beautifully with the warm wood elements, creating a space that is both practical and visually striking.
